Middle Ages.
Quint Four --
We continue our journey, now entering into the Early Middle Ages.
We will be reading excerpts from Beowulf, The Canterbury
Tales and the Genji Monogatari. In history we begin with the
Fall of Rome, continue through with the Rise of Byzantium,
Feudalism, the Crusades, and the Plague, ending with China during
the T'ang dynasty.
For up to date information on what we will be doing in
class and homework -- check out the homework page.
Also check the documents pages for copies of
handouts (not all will be there, but most).
